The Australian-owned service corporation AbbCO, which operates two of the world’s largest energy-related websites, has signed a memorandum of understanding to open a new office and a cafe in Toronto.
The new location will be at the corner of King Street West and Spadina Avenue in the City of Toronto.
The company is the largest provider of energy and gas information services in North America and will be based in Canada.
The announcement comes as a result of the recent federal government decision to lift restrictions on the sale of liquefied natural gas and the opening of AbbCo’s headquarters to the public.
In October, Abbcom, which has been in existence since 1975, was the first company in North American to offer an on-demand delivery service.
The company has also been a leader in developing innovative new technology, such as its ability to deliver electricity to homes and businesses on demand, without requiring them to go through a centralized power plant.
Its website, which is accessible 24 hours a day, provides a wide range of information about energy, climate change, renewable energy, water use, urban development, water conservation and more.
