When MTV UK’s ‘Tough Love’ star and his co-star, Toni Collette, met up for a date at a London restaurant, the relationship was not what they had been hoping for.
“I was tired of being lonely, and I was in a relationship with my boyfriend, and so, I said, ‘You know, we’ll just do a scene together’,” the 28-year-old tells E!
“And he said, no, no!
So, we went for a drink and we ended up making out and we got a bit drunk and he was like, ‘I want to be with you, but I’m tired of not being with you.'”
We went out and got married and that was it.
We’re still together.
I’m not bored of being single.
“When the pair were back in the UK, the romance went from being just a romantic idea to a reality.”
The pair went on to spend three months on a boat and spent the rest of their honeymoon on a small island.””
I’m like, why?”
The pair went on to spend three months on a boat and spent the rest of their honeymoon on a small island.
“We’re all really happy, so we have a great time,” Collete says.
“It’s not a bad time to be alone.
I like to be free to explore.
I think that’s what people have been missing out on.”
Collette is just one of the celebrities to speak out about being single or single-mindedly single.
In 2016, actress Amy Adams spoke about feeling lonely when her boyfriend left her.
“People are so selfish when they say they are single,” Adams told E!
“It’s like they don’t want to share things with someone.
They want to do things that are a bit more private.”
Adams and fellow actress Sarah Jessica Parker recently spoke about their desire to get engaged, and their desire for their relationship to go forward.
“You’re not going to see a lot of that in movies, and it’s very different to the reality,” Adams says.
While some couples might be looking for a long-term partner, the reality is that a lot more people are struggling with the idea of finding one.
“The number one thing we’ve learned is that people are trying to find their partner on their own,” says Collette.
“They’re saying, ‘Okay, this is a wonderful partner, but what’s the next step?'”
